Photoacoustic detection provides a cost-efficient and versatile means for analyzing solid samples by FT-IR. The Photoacoustic Cell and Detector handle all samples with little or no sample preparation. This system can be used to perform absorbance, diffuse reflectance and transmittance measurements as required depending on sample properties by simply exchanging the accessory sampling heads. The detector has two sampling options, which, by the use of interchangeable sampling heads, extend the capability of measuring macro sample absorbance spectra. These sampling option kits allow the user to switch very quickly between macro sample diffuse reflectance, absorbance and transmittance measurements and micro sample measurements respectively.
