Ideal for research level quantitative and qualitative analyses, the crystal geometry provides more reflections for a given angle than the Smart Multi-Bounce HATR, providing greater pathlength to sensitivity. This HATR offers a thermal configuration (an upgrade for standard Smart ARK™ accessory) including a thermal trough plate with a ZnSe 45° crystal.

The Thermo Scientific Smart ARK accessory is a stable, rugged, high-energy throughput HATR for analyzing liquids, solids, semi-solids, and soft powders.  The Smart ARK accessory is an ideal choice for research and analytical test laboratories, being well suited for quantitative and qualitative analysis with minimal sample preparation.  The Smart ARK accessory's high performance is a result of high optical collection efficiency and unique patented crystal design.  This crystal design allows the user to change crystal angles and materials without optical realignment.  The multi-reflection crystal design is extremely well-suited for analyzing lower concentration samples and where high sensitivity is necessary.  It is good for samples that require consistent, precise analysis or when different pathlengths are required to analyze a sampling system.

CAUTION: :For safety reasons, the gripper option should not be used for applications exceeding 50 degrees C. Smart ARK trough and flat plates (nonthermal) are compatible with the Thermal ATR Cells but must be used only for ambient applications that do not exceed 50 degrees C.
