This is a top-loading diffuse reflectance accessory for the near-infrared spectral region.  The UpDRIFTTM uses a unique optical focusing system known as CPC (compound parabolic concentrator) that virtually eliminates the specularly reflected component, which distorts spectral results.

The Smart Near-IR UpDRIFTTM  is a top-loading diffuse reflectance accessory for work in the near-infared spectral region.  The UpDRIFT utilizes a unique optical focusing system known as CPC (compound parabolic concentrator) that virtually eliminates the specular reflected component, which can distort spectral results.  The UpDRIFT is designed for fast, easy analyses of solids and powders.  Samples can be analyzed directly from plastic bags and most plastic or glass bottles, from microvials to those six inches in diameter.  This accessory can be used to either quantitatively or qualitatively measure a variety of sample morphologies.  Included is a standard background material to test the accessory's performance.
