The Thermo Scientific CataLyst Express provides
reliable, precise automation of microplate handling for a wide range of
instruments and containers. It is the only plate mover in it's class that
doesn't drop plates!
Product Detail
The Thermo Scientific CataLyst Express enables researchers to easily automate small volume assays, such as selectivity or specificity tests.
Our CataLyst Express is the first truly industrial robot to be packaged as a ready to use, no tools required product for laboratory use. Controlled by our Thermo Scientific POLARATM method development and scheduling
software, the CataLyst Express transfers microplates between instruments and the
included storage units. The only set up and teaching required is physically
installing an instrument relative to the CataLyst Express and teaching the path
to the instrument.
The CataLyst Express hardware consists of a Thermo
Scientific CataLyst-5 robotic arm, three microplate storage units, and a re-grip
station. A Thermo Scientific Servo Gripper enables the CataLyst Express to
support a wide variety of microplate types. The re-grip station enables the
CataLyst Express to rotate microplates to either landscape or portrait
orientation. The base of the CataLyst Express houses the unit's control
electronics, system connections, and power supply. There are no external
controllers or bulky cables.
Safety features of the Thermo Scientific CataLyst
Express include a remote Emergency Stop control and interlocked guarding that
halts the arm when opened.
