  ViewPoint Enterprise


Applications include the Nuclear Power industry, as well as in normal and incident operations in the Industrial, Civil Defense, and Security applications.  The ViewPoint system has the capability to integrate radiation and environmental, and general purpose detectors from Thermo Scientific’s portfolio and other vendors. The ViewPoint system provides users the ability to centrally process and analyze instrument/detector data. A major benefit is the sturdy design which is robust, secure and scalable.  The ViewPoint Enterprise platform is the base for a complete customizable solution for remote monitoring, providing real-time command and control data to the user.

The system is comprised of 4 components: 1) The ViewPoint Appliance with the ViewPoint Data Engine pre-installed 2) User workstations or viewing “clients”, that the system will be deployed upon 3) Instrument (Input) Device Plug-Ins, and 4) Client Plug-Ins.

User Workstations
The ViewPoint workstation has been designed to accommodate from 1 – 1000+ concurrent user(s)/workstation(s).  The users’/workstation licenses are available for purchase in bundles of 1, 5, 10, 25, or 50.  Additional users can be added at a later time by purchasing more bundles of users’ licenses at the desired quantity.

ViewPoint has been developed with “smart capability” that regulates total number of concurrent workstations, based on the number of license bundles purchased, that can be logged into the Data Engine at one time.  Specific workstations do not have to be designated as ViewPoint stations.

Plug-Ins
Each instrument, detector or sensor, which is capable of being remotely monitored by ViewPoint, has a unique Input Device Plug-In. This capability allows the instrument to communicate with ViewPoint Data Engine/System. 

Client Plug-Ins
The ViewPoint User Interface and Data Engine are compatible with third-party Remote Monitoring Software systems. Compatability includes such systems as: MGPI-Teleview™, Industrial Innovative Solutions (IIS) – RADS™, and Bartlett – RMS™, and ESRI ArcView™ version 3.3 and 8.

All purchased plug-ins are preloaded on the ViewPoint Appliance prior to delivery.  Additional Input Device plug-ins, Client plug-ins, and Users’/Workstation License Bundles can be purchased and added to the original ViewPoint appliance via a patch file and updated security key.
