APPLICATION:
In iron and steel making, the MOLA is used to improve the operation of the blast furnace by accurately measuring the moisture content in the coke that is fed into the furnace. The ion chamber in the MOLA acts as a hydrogen molecule detector and, based on the amount of hydrogen present, can determine the moisture in coke. Pulse mode technology allows for excellent stability and repeatability over a very wide temperature range without the need for high voltages or temperature stabilization of the circuitry.
