In microbiological laboratories and for in vitro fertilization, as well as in cancer research or tissue engineering, the Thermo Scientific HeraeusCO2 incubator BBD 6220 provides the best contamination protection and optimum reproducibility of results.
Product Detail
Contamination protection without compromise
Active humidification system provides permanent sterilization of the complete vapor generation systems. The external water reservoir allows continuous thermal decontamination by cyclically heating it up to 80O C.
Fully automated hot-air disinfection of the interior with 180°C hot-air.
Optimum growth conditions
Reliable calibration of the measuring systems is ensured by the auto-start function which adjusts the internal space to the preset incubation conditions.
Constant temperature control is made possible bya microprocessor and a platinum resistance element (Pt 100) as temperature sensor ; together they ensure excellent temperature consistency in the internal chamber.
Precise CO2 regulation based on the thermal conductivity measuring principle with periodic auto-zero calibration. The influence of humidity and oxygen is automatically compensated and optimum control of CO2 content thereby provided.
Humidity regulation in the range of 60% to 95% rH is managed by a capacitive probe continuously measuring humidity and injection of fine water vapor.
Reliable safety measures
A second completely independent controller with its own temperature sensor, takes over the automatic control functions in the event of a fault.
Alarm and diagnosis functions are audible/ visuals to warn of any diviation from the set parameters.
Restoration of originally incubation conditions is automatic as soon as power is restored following a power failure.
Monitoring and documentation of operating parameters (T, CO2, O2, rH) are facilitated via the serial RS 232 interface and “Kelvilog” software (included). Optionally HERAline can also be used to convert the operating parameters from the RS 232 interface to analog signals (0…1V or 4…20mA).
