NuLight labeled phosphoramidites are specific for the addition of a fluorescent tag to the 5'-position of the oligonucleotide. These compounds are easily incorporated into the oligo using standard synthesis and deprotection procedures. Fluorescent labeled oligonucleotides are important tools in areas of gene research and DNA/RNA analysis.
DY547, DY647 & DY677
NuLight DY547, DY647 and DY677 have absorbance and emission wavelengths comparable to other dyes available on the market. The absence of trityl protection in the NuLight product line provides higher active dye content per gram which can lead to decreased cost per gram. All NuLight dyes require no licensing fees from Thermo Fisher Scientific for research applications.
DY780
NuLight DY780 phosphoramidite is used in fluorescent applications requiring emission in the near IR range.
FAM-6 and Fluorescein
FAM-6 and fluorescein are well established oligonucleotide labels for DNA genetic analysis, sequencing and PCR applications. These phosphoramidites may be used on all automated DNA synthesizers using standard synthesis procedures. Fluorescein contains a mixture of 5- and 6-isomers of carboxy fluorescein, while FAM6 is further purified to remove the 5-isomer and leaves ≥ 95% of the 6-isomer. The higher purity of the single isomer is ideal in applications requiring higher sensitivity.
Quality Control
Our controlled raw material supply chain and established vendor partnerships ensure consistency and security of supply. Processes are strictly controlled and monitored from material procurement through final QC and product release under ISO9001 standards. All phosphoramidites are supplied with lot-specific quality control data such as HPLC and phosphorous NMR analyses.
Flexible Packaging
Pack sizes to fit most commercially available synthesizers are in stock and ready for immediate delivery. Custom and bulk packaging is also available for specific requirements.
Related Products for Mild Deprotection
It is recommended to use these products with Thermo Scientific Fast Deprotection Phosphoramidites during synthesis to allow for mild deprotection protocols and minimize fluorescent label degradation.
