The ECAT Lightning
Test System is designed to provide a modular test platform based on the
lightning simulator requirements of RTCA DO-160 Section 22. System is expandable
to meet Boeing, Airbus and other requirements, and because of its modular
configuration can be easily upgraded as requirements change.

The basic system
configuration provides test capabilities to Level 3 for Pin Injection, Cable
Bundle single and multiple stroke testing, and is expandable to Level 5 for all
waveforms including Waveforms 3H and 6H for multi burst testing.
The newest evolution
of the ECAT, the ECAT Lightning Test System (LTS) for the avionics industry
incorporates all of the features of the standard ECAT:
Set up is very
quick – select the waveform and push a button. Intuitive front panel controls
allows simple waveform, voltage and coupling selections.
Modular
construction allows for easy addition of new waveform modules.
Lowell provides on-site service and calibration
services for all installed ECAT systems
After warranty
service programs are available to provide long term care, including annual
calibrations, on-site calibrations, emergency service calls and repair parts.
These programs can be modified and customized to fit your specific
requirements.
