   Product Detail

UNIQUE FEATURES of the TITAN 4000 include:

Auto sampler:
The use of the Thermo Scientific AI 3000 auto injector makes sample introduction a simple and efficient process. 8 positions come as standard but the optional sample tray increases its capacity to analyze up to 105 samples in one sequence - allowing 24/7 operation. The vertical mounting on top of the analyzer contributes to the small footprint of the TITAN 4000.

Injection Device
Temperature controlled chromium plated copper sample introduction device operates with oxygen only, avoiding the necessity and cost of an inert carrier gas. The nebulizing injection technique results in an unprecedented application range for liquid samples and achieves unbeatable analysis times of less than 2 minutes (*Depending on application and sample size).

Folded combustion tube:
Vertical positioned stochiomatic combustion tube with extended flow path length. This orientation contributes to the dramatically reduced dimensions. The use of an insert tube within the combustion tube ensures optimum performance and stability and increased the lifetime of the tube. (International patent pending)

Pre-soot detection:
The TITAN 4000 uniquely measures the presence of oxygen during the combustion process to prevent soot formation and incomplete combustion, which in turn reduces down-time and eliminates safety concerns. Combustion efficiency of tested samples can be assessed by the soot sensor and data is logged in the software. The soot sensor is a “go/no-go” test, preventing wasted sample injections.

Module Connections:
The TITAN 4000 does not include traditional part-to-part connections and is free of any glass-glass connections – eliminating common problems with malfunction, breakage and attrition. The use of an enhanced quick gas connector design includes sensor technology to ensure a robust operation.

NSX VISUAL Software:
New user friendly and powerful software package including real-time measurement curves, priority sample handling and system control functionalities which increase productivity and results into lower operation costs.

CONFIGURATIONS

The TITAN 4000 is currently available in 3 configurations

  1. Dedicated Total Nitrogen (TN)
  2. Dedicated Total Sulfur (TS)
  3. Simultaneous Total Nitrogen/Total Sulfur (TN/TS)

The modular design of the TITAN 4000 allows a dedicated, single detector system to be easily upgraded with additional detectors at a later stage as the user's analytical demands change.  Simultaneous TN/TS detection can be achieved by either combining two dedicated modules (e.g. adding a TN module to an existing TITAN 4000 TS configuration) or by purchasing a combined TN/TS module.
