RM 300 EH / RM 310 EH

This series of Radiometrie gauges significantly improves coating weight control by reducing the dead time between the acutator and measurement, resulting in raw material savings and a reduction in scrap. Thermo Fisher Scientific is the world's only supplier of "hot" coating weight gauges for hot dip galvanized lines.
   Product Detail

For installation in:
  • Hot Dip Galvanizing Lines

The 'Hot' Position Coating Weight Gauge provides a precise, fast and non-contact coating weight centreline measurement of metal coatings (zinc, zinc-/aluminium alloys, aluminium, tin, terne, ...) applied to steel strips. The gauge is installed at the 'hot' position of the hot dip galvanizing line, directly above the air knives.

This results in a very fast measurement, ideal for autocontrol of the coating weight, because the dead distance between measurement position and air knife machinery is kept to a minimum and the response time of the autocontrol gets short.

Measurements:

  • Coating weight length profile measurement (top & bottom side) directly above the air knives.

Features:

  • Two measuring channels for top and bottom side coating weight of the strip.
  • Installation of the measuring heads in water cooled detector housings.
  • Gamma- and X-ray sources available.
  • Distance measurement between detectors and strip with automatic distance control.
  • The gauge can be coupled with the Coating Weight Gauge 'Cold' Position and with the Neuro-Fuzzy Autocontrol to build one comprehensive system.
  • Ethernet based or serial interface based communication protocols with customized data content.
