The Coating Weight Control System in conjunction with a coating weight gauge significantly reduces the variability of the coating process. This results in the following:
Cost reduction due to raw material savings. With the aid of target adaptive control algorithms the control setpoint can be adjusted towards the lower coating weight tolerance limit as the variability is reduced.
Cost reduction due to faster product changes. Our experience with various hot dip galvanizing lines shows, that the time for product changes can be reduced up to 90% (in combination with an appropriate air knife).
