The FHT 1372 is an unmanned radiation detection station designed to rapidly check people and their luggage as they walk by. This system is an ideal tool for airports, harbors and border stations. The large area scintillator detector in combination with Thermo's Natural Background Rejection (NBR) and Advanced Digital Filter technologies permit rapid scanning without necessitating stopping traffic flow.
Product Detail
The FHT 1372 Radioactivity Monitor is used as a stationary system for fully automatic monitoring of personnel gates or luggage belts for entrainement of radioactive sources. A highly sensitive scintillation detector and the use of ADF (Advanced Digital Filter) allows extremely sensitive and very fast checking. The persons or objects may move at normal speed without necessity to stop.
By virtue of the NBR technique (NBR = Natural Background Rejection) developed by ESM, it is possible to detect small amounts of artificial gamma radiation in the nSv/h range even against a fluctuating natural background. Additionally an integral alarm level can be adjusted in order to detect an excessive total dose rate level.
Operation of the monitor is indicated by a green LED on the front of the monitor. If a radioactive source is detected an alarm is triggered as long as the artificial gamma radiation is present.
