This product is a multiplexed version of the Multi-Element Probe (MEP) and provides cost effective use of just one or more analyzers to measure a number of plant process streams. Each process stream will generally be sampled to provide the required lower slurry flow rate to the analysis tanks of the Thermo Scientific MSA. To aid representative sampling and to incorporate metallurgical samplers, each stream has its own analysis tank and the probe is moved from one tank to another in sequence under computer control. The online assay information is displayed on PC's strategically placed in the plant for operators and metallurgists to better control the process.
The MSA is used in applications where capital restraints prohibit the use of the well proven dedicated analysis and sampling method.
