Thermo Scientific HAAKE MiniLab II Micro Compounder
Compounding and rheological characterization of expensive materials such
as nano-composites, bio-polymers or pharmaceuticals is no problem with the HAAKE
MiniLab II. Continuous extrusion with a force feeder is possible with little
sample quantities. An available mini injection molding machine even allows you
to create test specimens.
Product Detail
The HAAKE MiniLab II needs a sample volume of only 7 cm3. Compounding expensive materials such as nano-composites, biopolymers, or pharmaceuticals is no longer a problem. The rheological properties can be recorded simultaneously to document structural changes.
By using the optional force feeder, continuous extrusion with very small volumes is possible. A separately available mini-injection molding system (HAAKE MiniJet) allows you to create specimens for material testing.
This is of interest in R&D applications for new polymer development, testing of expensive additives, i.e. pharmaceutical drugs and material studies. The HAAKE MiniLab compounder can be equipped with conical co- and counter-rotating screws. Continuous viscosity measurements in the back flow channel up to 350° C (optionally 420°C). Digital and graphic data on a large LCD display or full control, data acquisition and evaluation with MS-Windows software.
