AnStat-200 Slurry XRF Analysis and Sampling Station

The Analysis and Sampling Station is a specially designed multi-stage tank with underflow and overflow weirs for use on critical streams that require representative continuous sampling and dedicated analysis. With no pumps and no sample transport lines they provide the lowest cost of ownership.
   Product Detail

The Thermo Scientific Analysis and Sampling Station (AnStat) is a specially designed multi-stage tank with underflow and overflow weirs for use on critical streams that require representative continuous sampling and dedicated analysis. The tank contains fixed static cutters that reduce the primary flow rate to produce a statistically correct sample suitable for mass balance and metallurgical accounting in accordance with the laws of sampling theory. AnStats are in successful operation in many plants worldwide with slurry flows ranging up to 22,000 m³ /hr.

To integrate on-line analysis with the sampling system, a dedicated analyser such as the ISA Multi-Element Probe (MEP), is positioned in the final sampling zone of the AnStat to allow continuous monitoring, with the assay values being displayed on the controlling computer located elsewhere in the plant. Only continuous sample cutting can truly reflect the variations in pulp density and elemental concentrations so often missed by traditional sampling methods. The final sample cut produces the representative sample that plant metallurgists require for optimising the recovery of the valuable minerals and for metallurgical accounting.
