The Thermo Scientific HAAKE ViscoTester 550 is a rotational viscometer for sophisticated and automated quality control giving absolute viscosity data at defined shear rates and accurate temperature control.
It is suitable for the complete characterization of Newtonian and non-Newtonian fluids including the measurement of yield points or thixotropy. The built-in display shows all relevant results and you can plot the flow-/viscosity curve with software. An RS232 computer connection is standard and the special Thermo Scientific HAAKE RheoWin software is optional.
Application
With the cone-plate viscometer, highly viscous liquids and pastes from many differing fields of industry can be characterized according to ISO 3219. Flow curves deliver a rheological determination of Newtonian and non-Newtonian behavior. Application properties like spreadability or stability are determined by measuring the yield point in the CD-mode.
