The TherMax 700 utilizes the Cahn D101 Balance, the newest technology in the electromagnetic balance field. The D 101 is the only balance that can handle up to 100 g at a 1µg sensitivity. Those specifications together with the large sample volume of 35 ml and the high temperature furnace allow measurements at elevated temperatures up to 1700 °C. Such high temperatures are often required when analyzing ceramics and metal powder injection molded parts. The vacuum capabilities of the system guarantee a defined atmosphere. With the optional vacuum accessory and the special designed pumping system a vacuum of 5 x 10-5 torr can be achieved.
Even corrosive gases like SO2, HCL and H2S cannot damage the gold-plated balance mechanism. The unique patented gas flow separation system protects the balance and enables measurements in defined atmospheres.
Sample containers of all sizes and different materials like aluminum, mullite, quartz and platinum are available upon request.
