Course designed to familiarize users of ARL 3460 and ARL Metal Analyzer with the structure of the instrument. Students will learn maintenance and diagnostic techniques and how to establish and follow a maintenance schedule.
Topics include a general overview of ARL 3460 and ARL Metal Analyzer, electronics, spectrometer optics, excitation stands, vacuum system, sources, routine maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and WinOE basic functions.
Pre-requisites: Practical experience of at least 3 months following the installation of the instrument and general knowledge of Windows® Operating Systems and WinOE software.
