Using the Thermo Scientific erCRP reagent allows laboratories to measure across the assay's entire clinical range without the need for dilution. Results are highly reliable and reproducible, which saves on sample repeats and improves turnaround time.
Product Detail
CRP is an acute phase protein beneficial in the diagnosis and follow up of infectious disease, stroke, following surgery, detecting rejection in renal allograft receipts and managing neonatal septicaensia and meningitis. Baseline CRP concentracious may also serve as a measure of the risk of future myocardial infarction or stroke.
The erCRP reagent is intended for the determination of C-Reactive Protein (CRP) concentration in serum or plasma on automated clinical chemistry analyzers. The erCRP reagent satisfies AHA and CDC recommendations for a highly sensitive method to ensure reliability and reproducibility of results across the entire measurable range (0.15-320 mg/L). The method provides excellent correlation compared to other commercially available assays, and is standardized against Certified Reference Method (CRM470 BCR). Sample dilution is not required up to 320mg/L and erroneous results are avoided as the assay does not exhibit high dose hook effects up to 1000 mg/L. Applications are available for most automated chemistry analyzers.
