The time resolution of the Series 1400ab Monitor allows users to identify episodes and determine trends in real time. When used in conjunction with meteorological data or information from gasous criterial pollutant analyzers, the instrument can provide vital information in the study of human health effects.

The TEOM Series 1400ab Ambient Particulate Monitor combines a powerful set of features that put it in a class of its own. Measured in terms of annual sales, it has achieved the status of being the world's best-selling USEPA-approved PM-10 continuous ambient particulate monitor. It is used by air monitoring organizations, industry and research organizations worldwide to measure ambient particulate concentration continuously.

Other applications of time-sensitive data include source identification and control, short-term compliance monitoring, emergency response, forensic investigations and numerical modeling.

  • U.S. EPA certification EQPM-1090-079 for continuous PM-10 particulate monitoring, and is a USEPA-recognized correlated acceptable continuous monitor for continuous PM-2.5 measurements. TEOM instrumentation also has German TUV approval for TSP and PM-10 measurements.
