Streamline FTS

The patented Streamline Flow Transfer Standard provides a robust means for performing flow audits and calibrations in the field. It avoids the difficulties that can occur when performing flow measurements under extreme weather conditions. This orifice flow transfer standard can be used with any low-flow (16.7 l/min or lower) device. We have received the exclusive worldwide distribution rights from Chinook Engineering of Sheridan, Wyoming, to market this innovative, highly accurate flow measurement system.

Features

The Streamline FTS is designed for use with the Partisol Family of products, the TEOM Series 1400a monitor, and other low-flow air samplers with a sample flow rate of approximately 16.7 l/min or lower.

A digital manometer used in conjunction with the Streamline FTS determines the pressure drop created by the unit's orifice element. Utilizing this measured pressure drop, the calibration constants provided with each Streamline device, as well as the ambient temperature and pressure, the user computes the flow rate passing through the sampling system. New versions of the operating software for the Partisol family of Air Samplers and the TEOM Series 1400a monitor provide full software support for the product, allowing users to forego manual computations.

The product's integral wind shield and specially-selected materials of construction allow its use as a transfer standard over a very wide range of ambient conditions without affecting performance or calibration. Each Streamline device is supplied with an NIST-traceable certification that provides a unique pair of calibration constants, m and b. A protective carrying case houses up to two Streamline modules with calibration sheets, operating instructions, and up to two digital manometers.

The Streamline product is available for two different flow ranges: a white-colored unit for flow rates of 5 to 20 l/min, and a black-colored version for 0.8 to 6 l/min flows. Audits and calibrations between 2 and 16.7 l/min can be performed with white- and black-colored units under most ambient conditions using a 10 or 20 inches (of water) manometer, while operation of the black-colored unit at 0.8 to 1.5 l/min requires the addition of a 4 inches (of water) manometer.
