Unique Sample Mounting
The Evolution 600 Diffuse Reflectance accessory offers a horizontal mounting reflectance port to conveniently measure both delicate and large samples without cutting them into smaller pieces. The reflectance port is located outside the sample compartment and above the plane of the instrument, allowing you to measure large samples such as large coated mirrors, pharmaceutical bottles, silicon wafers, even bolts of fabric. The reflectance port uses gravity to hold samples in place, ensuring delicate samples remain intact and unharmed. Reflectance samples as small as 15 mm can be placed on the horizontal mounting port and measured easily – or make your own mask to measure smaller samples. A powder cell holder is available for those who study the reflectance of powders or crystals.
Exceptional Performance, Built-in Compliance
The DRA-EV-600 is a double beam Spectralon integrating sphere with the highest possible energy throughput and accuracy. The DRA-EV-600 features an integrated detector for increased sensitivity. This 75 mm integrating sphere provides a low port fraction ratio of 3.6%, which is both CIE and ASTM D-1003 HAZE compliant. A built-in light trap allows you to either include or exclude the specular reflection of the sample.
Transmission Measurements
Underneath the integrating sphere there is a diffuse transmittance port for analyzing samples as small as 1" (25.4 mm) in diameter. Thin solid materials such as films, plastics and polymers, or materials mounted on a microscope slide can easily be mounted and measured. A cuvette holder is also available which holds a stopped cuvette for diffuse transmittance measurements of turbid liquid samples such as biologicals.
