DXR Smart Components

SmartLock

SmartLock technology allows for versatility and expandability.  A second or third laser can be added to the system.  No service call is needed as the components are factory pre-aligned.

Facilities with more than one DXR microscope or SmartRaman can share lasers, gratings and filters between instruments for even greater versatility.  New components are automatically recognized by Smart technology.

Smart Accessories

The DXR SmartRaman uses the same technology for its accessories.  By using the Smart approach, accessories or toolheads can easily be adde d o r s witched on the SmartRama n  s ystem.  Each accessory or toolhead is recognized by OMNIC" and the appropriate settings and experiment files are automatically brought up.  Multiple specific methods  for an accessory can be created and saved, thus improving analysis time.

The DXR SmartRaman uses pinned-in-place technology to attach the accessories to the instrument base.  One placed on the instrument OMNIC recognizes the accessory and then loads the experiment file or files.

The DXR SmartRaman has multiple Smart Accessories: the Universal Platform Sampling Accessory, the Carousel Autosampler Accessory, and the 180 Degree Sampling Accessory.  Adding in even more flexibility the Universal Platform Sampling Accessory has multiple toolheads which can be placed on the accessory; these also use the Smart technology and are recognized by OMNIC.

Overall

The Smart components make the DXR Microscope and SmartRaman systems easy to use, flexible in the components that can be added, changed, or exchanged.  The Smart components also make it easy to replace components or upgrade the instrument at a later time.  The way that the instrument and OMNIC software interface makes the DXR systems very powerful analytical tools.
