EDS Detector option for X-ray Microanalysis Systems

CryoCooled is a cooling option that replaces the Liquid Nitrogen (LN) dewar on our standard EDS detectors. The CryoCooled option uses closed cycle refrigeration to reach operating temperatures comparable to (LN) detectors, and yields similar detector resolutions.

The detector option consists of two parts: a compressor and a cooler head mounted on a standard x-ray detector unit. The compressor can be located up to 50 feet from the detector head assembly. The only utility requirements are normal line voltages.

This option is ideal for clean room applications, or in any facility that requires temperature cycling, or where periodic filling of LN is prohibitive.
