This course is designed for new users of ARL 2460, ARL 3460, ARL 3560, and ARL 4460 Metal Analyzers with WinOE Software. New users will learn the skills necessary to operate the instrument and optimize analytical results for their specific applications. Each course is divided into equal portions of lecture and hands on laboratory time covering spark emission theory, hardware overview, software overview, optimization of results, precision, accuracy improvement, calibration, matrix dilution, inter-element corrections, drift correction, and type standardization, sample preparation, trouble shooting analytical data, and routine maintenance.
