For today's clinical and research laboratories, 384-well plates offer a number of important benefits, including lower consumption of reagents and increased throughput, particularly for screening applications. 

The Multidrop 384 is an automated dispenser designed for high-throughput screening and microvolume dispensing into 384- and 96-well plates.This new-generation dispenser offers outstanding flexibility. It can easily switch from 96- to 384- well plates and dispense up to 8 different liquids simultaneously. High-speed continious dispensing

The greatest advantages of the Multidrop 384 dispenser are its high speed and automation. It can fill 20 µl of reagent into a 384-well plate in less than 20 seconds or a 96-well plate in five seconds. The unit is programmable  over a wide volume range of 5-100 µl for 384-well plates and 5-395 µl for 96- well plates. Any number of columns can be selected, from 1-24 for 384-well plates and from 1-12 for 96-well plates.

Special features of Multidrop 384 

Multidrop 384 allows continuous dispensing by using a high-precision peristaltic pump to dispense directly from single or multiple reagent bottles. Up to eight different liquids can be dispensed into any number of columns using the eight-channel dispensing cassette. All reagent lines can be back-flushed into the reagent bottle, minimizing the loss of expensive reagents. To ensure sterility and avoid cross-contamination for micro-biological applications, the dispensing cassette is detachable and can be autoclaved. 

The Multidrop 384  can be used as a stand alone instrument or added to robotic systems via RS-323 serial port. For even greater flexibility and improved throughput, Assist Plate Handling Device (a robotic arm for stacking and transferring plates) is available for Multidrop 384. When dispensing volumes greater and equal than 10µl, Multidrop 384 is the correct choice for you.
