The PM1703GN gamma/ neutron pager is the ultimate in pocket-pager sized NBC / WMD radiation detectors. A gamma-only version of the PM1703 is also available. Worn on the belt, they are totally hands-free pagers that give visual and audible or vibration alarm indications in the presence of radiation from almost any source. The pagers are many times more sensitive than traditional dosimeters and the instant warning given to the wearer reduces the danger of radiation safety hazards. The PM1703GN is able to detect even small amounts of weapons-grade plutonium even when shielded with lead. Data can be downloaded to a PC.
