All Cytofunnel sample chambers are specially designed centrifuge tubes that enable the Cytospin to concentrate cells into thin-layer preparations. They are safer than reusable sample chambers by reducing your risk to pathogenic samples. Simply dispose of after use. The Cytofunnels decrease labor time associated with cleaning and sterilizing reusable sample chambers. The possibility of cross contamination is also reduced.
The Shandon Double CytofunnelŽ doubles the number of sample presentations per run. These Cytofunnels are ideal for immunohistochemistry. The funnel markings correspond to slide markings for simple identification of samples and they use the same sample volume and cell deposition area of Single Cytofunnels. The filter card comes pre-attached.
