The Shandon Cytoblock® Cell Preparation System eliminates missed cell block opportunites by increasing the ability to process scanty or unseen material for cell block and also reduces the loss of critical material through traditional transfer process.
This system is suitable for tissue orientation and replaces time-consuming and costly agar and thrombin techniques.
The Shandon Cytoblock® Cell Preparation System processes 50 specimens per kit (includes 50 Cytoblock Cassettes with inserts, 1 bottle of setting reagent, and 1 bottle of gelling reagent). Requires phosphate-free fixative on processor, such as Zinc Formal-Fixx™, Formal-Fixx™, or Glyo-Fixx™ (formalin substitute), or simply bypass formalin fixation steps on processor.
Cytoblock can also be run on a rapid biopsy program.
