| Improving the Accuracy of Near-infrared Measurements Using Spectral Corrections: Back-reflection and Transfer Backgrounds (TN51114) |
| This technical note details applications for and implementation of dark and transfer backgrounds for NIR spectroscopy using Thermo Scientific RESULT software. |
| One of the main detriments to NIR data is sample or container-related effects like back-reflection from the face of a glass vial during measurement of the sample inside. A spectral correction that removes this spectral feature from the true sample response can significantly improve the accuracy of any NIR measruement.
