Many applications of Thermo Cahn TGAs and recording balances require the use of vacuum. Some applications require only partial vacuum while others require high vacuum. Some applications will require pumping of only inert gases while others will require pumping of corrosive gases. Each set of conditions involves different factors that must be considered before selecting the components to be used in the vacuum system. This Technical Note will try to suggest the various factors and equipment to be considered.
