This application note provides a method for the determination of Fatty Acid Methyl Esters with up to a 20-fold speed increase over conventional GC methods with excellent accuracy and precision of both peak areas and retention times. 

The TRACE™ GC Ultra equipped with the Ultra Fast option is used in this application, and the TriPlus™ Autosampler offers further productivity.  The top levels of repeatability and accuracy, together with the continuation of optimal peak shapes over the analysis of 100 samples, demonstrate the robustness of the system.  Furthermore, the method offers a significant reduction in overall analysis time, while still providing accurate, reliable results.
