| A method for the GC/MS confirmation and quantitation of codeine (COD) and morphine (MOR) using the DSQTM II GC/MS system was developed and fully validated. The validation included precision, specificity/interference, linearity and carrover. All studies were performed using hydrolyzed, extracted, and derivatized urine samples, mirroring real-world laboratory requirements.
ToxLabTM 2.0 software provided automated sample acquisition and processing. This application note demonstrates that the DSQ II, ToxLab 2.0 and a comprehensive Productivity Solution designed to provide optimal efficiency and throughput are valuable tools for the reliable confirmation of COD and MOR in urine for workplace drug testing programs.
