| Results and Discussion:
TurboFlow methods reduce matrix effects and allow users to directly inject biological fluids into the LC-MS/MS system or greatly reduce matrix effects common to protein precipitated samples without further sample handling. The 25-hydroxy-vitamin D samples require protein precipitation due to the strong protein binding. Injecting the precipitated biological samples into the Aria TLX-1 system ensures the removal of the interferences, or potential interference, which may affect method performace when injecting thousands of biological samples. This is a significant advantage in laboratories where extensive sample prep is too time consuming due to high sample loads. The method of quantitative analysis of 25-OH-D2 and 25-OH-D3 in serum has been developed using an Aria TLX System configured for a TSQ Quantum triple quadrupole mass spectrometer.
