| The toxicity of mercury compounds has prompted health agencies to set up monitoring programs for occupationally exposed individuals and to establish maximum exposure limits accordingly. The measurement of urinary mercury excretion is presently the main tool used in making decisions about the preventative reassignment of workers exposed to inorganic mercury. The X Series ICP-MS is an excellent tool for trace Hg determination in urine and other biological samples. |
