| Abstract: The purpose of this article is to describe the features offered with the XSeries II ICP-MS to provide optimum performance for routine and research biomedical trace element analysis. |
| Making accurate and precise trace element measurements in samples of biological origin is a challenge. Biological samples such as blood, urine and serum have complex and often variable compositions and can contain the target elements at anything from mmol/L to nmol/L concentrations. Robust and sensitive instrumentation is therefore essential if reliable analysis is to be performed. |
