This application features a software program designed to automate spectral deconvolution. This program allows for the simultaneous quantification and qualitative analysis of unknown samples acquired in full scan by gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS). Ease of use, time savings, and reporting accuracy were considered.
The software program provided an easy-to-use interface for setting up search criteria and selecting the necessary report components. Libraries were made to facilitate searches, and quantitative analysis of data performed in conjunction with the deconvolution software. The software was successful at identifying the spiked components in matrix as well as deconvoluting the overlapping components. In all, the software proved useful in automating tedious manual searches of data files.
