| LV-SL injection used to overcome the limitations of the conventional GC and GCxGC for environnmental detection. |
| Environmental legislations approved by federal agencies like US EPA, or by EU Commission Directives, aim at the most severe reduction of the contaminant levels in water and soils. LV-SL injection overcomes the limitation of the maximum sample volume to 1-2 uL of classical splitless injection by exploiting the concurrent solvent recondensation technique.
LV-SL was used to reach 20-50x lower detection limits than conventional GC and GCxGC carrying out trace detection in environmental matrices. |
