MSeminar: Environmental Applications for the TSQ Quantum: Chloramphenicol, Perchlorate & CDFA

Agenda: Pesticide residues in food and water are strictly regulated according to the provisions of US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) CFR Title 40. Due to its specificity in identifying compounds, LC/MS/MS is rapidly emerging as the technique of choice for identifying and quantifying pesticides in vegetable extracts as well environmental samples. Validated methods based on LC/MS/MS can now be found on the EPA’s website. The TSQ Quantum triple quadrupole system is the instrument of choice for environmental applications because of its sensitivity, robustness, linear dynamic range, and H-SRM capabilites. This webinar will discuss the advantages of using the TSQ Quantum in environmnetal applications, especially the advantage of using H-SRM. This will be illustrated with data from chloramphenicol, perchlorate and pesticide analyses from the California Dept. of Food and Agriculture.
