  • Process Tool: Your Thermo Scientific web gauging system supplied is a process tool which requires periodic “calibration” just as any other precision piece of equipment does.
  • Measurement: The basis for all web gauging equipment is measurement performance. Properly calibrated sensors and validation procedures are essential.
  • Control: Cross directional and machine direction control provide continuous real-time monitoring and adjustment of the manufacturing process.  Flatness (or desired shape) and target weight (or thickness) are maintained to ensure maximum efficiency in usage of raw materials.
  • Target Management: With all other aspects finely tuned, your system may utilize this feature which allows a target shift to increase resin yield and maximize profitability.
• An agenda for a process optimization audit will be outlined and reviewed by the assigned Thermo Fisher Scientific applications engineer with the customer prior to the visit.
• Audit services include 3 full days onsite with a travel day at each end (M-F).
