The quantitative mapping and linescan feature on the NORAN System 7 X-ray microanalysis system calculates elemental concentrations for all selected elements extracted from Spectral Imaging or from linescan acquisitions. Quantitative data is displayed as an X-ray map set, or a linescan with cursor-driven display of selected data at each point.
Quantitative analysis is especially valuable as a tool when any of the following conditions exist: changing sample thickness, peak overlaps, or high background. |
