Converts data from the Hewlett-Packard 1040 Diode Array instrument using HP PAWS workstations. In order for the files to be converted into GRAMS format, the data must be transferred from the PAWS system to a PC. There are a variety of tools for PAWS-to-PC File Transfers available from other vendors. See the Hewlett-Packard File Transfer Utilties section in this document or Email support.grams@thermo.com for more information.
The default input file pattern is *.HPD. It may be necessary to rename the files after transferring them to the PC, depending on which utility is used for the transfer. This converter always creates one *.SPC multifile of spectra and a *.CGM file. The *.CGM file is a multifile of all the run time chromatogram from the diode array detector and can be up to 8 channels in one file.
