This converter imports data from Hewlett-Packard's 1090/1040A DOS Chemstation Chromatography raw format. This converter will not import data collected and stored using the HP 1090 Pascal Workstation (PAWS). Use the HP_1090 or HP_1040 converters for PAWS data files. The default file extension is *.UV. The converter will always convert the *.UV data into a *.SPC multifile of spectra. It will also look for all *.CH channel files in the same directory and import each one into a separate GRAMS *.CGM chromatogram file. These files may have to be renamed to move them to other directories since the HP software creates a new directory for every run and always uses the same file names within each directory to store the data. If there are no UV files, you can select the *.CH files and they will import as usual.
This converter does not support export.
Special Instructions
Any one of the CGM files can be used in a Find CGM Trace box with the SPC multifile in a Paged Trace box. However, it may be necessary to rename one of the CGM files from the channels to match the same base name as the SPC file (i.e., DAD1.CGM and DAD1.SPC). In this case, the desired CGM file must be copied to a CGM file with the same base file name (i.e., copy DAD1A.CGM to DAD1.CGM). Because multiple file types are produced, changing the output file extensions in the GRAMS/32 Convert Import dialog has no effect. | |
