| Export Allowed: Yes, with limitations |
| Converter Name: HP_8452 |
| File Extension: *.WAV |
Works with Hewlett-Packard 8452 ASCII *.WAV data files. Works only with wavelength format files (FTYPE=1 and WAVEMODE=0). Use the HP_8452K converter for kinetics type files. Imported Y values are assumed to be equally spaced on the X axis. The input file must contain a wavelength range, not individual wavelengths. On import, the memo field of the GRAMS data file is set to show the following information from the HP 8452 data file:
SAMPLE.NAME$, CONCENTRATION UNITS$, OPERATOR$, SOLVENT.NAME$
If a parameter is blank, a space is substituted in the appropriate place in the memo. If the HP data file is a derivative, "derivative" will appear after the solvent name at the end of the line.
On export, the operator field is set to "Lab Calc" or "GRAMS/32," the sample name is copied from the memo field up to the first comma or carriage return, the concentration is set to 0 with units set to "Unknown," and solvent name is set to "Unknown." Only files with X units in Nanometers can be exported. If the GRAMS file has Y units other than Absorbance or Transmittance, the units are set to intensity (4) in the output file. | |
