This instrument's data acquisition and control software uses Thermo Scientifics's My Instrument technology and is compatible with our standard GRAMS/AI software. GRAMS/AI will automatically recognize and incorporate the My Instrument data acquisition and control software directly into its menus. Users will have all the benefits of the standard GRAMS/AI software including the complete library of file converters.

Instrument Control Features:

  • Supports the PerkinElmer Models 983 and 983G Dispersive IR Instruments
  • Displays spectral data as it is being collected
  • Scan Modes: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7
  • Noise-Filters: 0.5, 1, 4, 16 and 64
  • Collects Timedrive spectra
  • Controls Instrument Recorder
  • Set monochromator to specified wavenumber
  • Beam Modes: Absorbance, Transmission or Emission
  • Communicates via RS232 link*
  • Connects using an ordinary "straight-through" RS232 cable*

* Requires an RS232 Communications port in the instrument
