The trace is interpolated by taking the RFFT (real FFT) of the trace and zero filling to a user selected power of 2. The result is then RIFFT'd (real inverse FFT’d) and placed in a new, larger trace. Due to the FFT, this can give some artifacts in the result if the trace baseline is not at zero. This method is NOT recommended for traces with downward peaks (i.e.; Transmission, Reflection, Single Beam, etc.). |
