The Orion 520A, 525A, 720A and 920A meters contain a backup battery to retain stored information when the meter power is lost or unplugged. In order for this backup feature to be operational, please leave your meter plugged in for the first 48 hours of use. The meter operates normally and can be used during this time.
Sometimes the power input fluctuates below the acceptable operating range due to unstable power supplies, weather, power drains, and other causes. If you experience such a power fluctuation during this initial 48-hour period, the software may need to be reset to factory settings.

Unplug the meter

Press and hold the 0 (zero) numeric key down as the meter is plugged in.
- When "reset" appears, press YES.
