1. Turn colorimeter on with the power key. Press mode key to choose method for multimeters.
2. Fill clean dry cuvette to mark with sample and cap.
3. Place cuvette in colorimeter and press zero•test key.
4. Remove cuvette, remove cap, and add tablet or reagent. Crush and stir with stir rod. Recap the cuvette.
5. Allow sample to react for any required wait time.*
6. If additional tablet or reagent is required, add, crush, and stir with stir rod. Allow sample to react for any required wait time.
7. Wipe any moisture or fingerprints off of cuvette and place in colorimeter.
8. Press zero•test key.
9. Record reading from display.

* NOTE: Some two reagent samples require a reading be taken at this point, then proceed to step 7. Perform reading then add additional reagent in step 6.

Calibration

Colorimeters come pre-calibrated, however a user can check and adjust calibration if desired.

Always use standard in recommended range:

1. Hold the mode key while turning on the colorimeter with the power key.
2. Fill clean dry cuvette to mark with standard and cap.
3. Place cuvette in colorimeter and press zero•test key.
4. Remove cuvette, remove cap, and add tablet or reagent. Crush and stir with stir rod. Recap the cuvette.
5. Allow sample to react for any required wait time.*
6. If additional tablet or reagent is required, add, crush, and stir with stir rod. Allow sample to react for any required wait time.
7. Wipe any moisture or fingerprints off of cuvette and place in colorimeter.
8. Press zero•test key.
9. If reading is correct press, power key to exit calibration.
10. If adjustment is required, press mode key to increase the value or press zero•test key to decrease value.
11. Press power key twice to accept calibration. : : will be displayed briefly.

* NOTE: When calibrating Zinc and Copper, a reading must be taken at this point. Proceed to step 7. Perform reading, then add additional reagent in step 6 and complete calibration.
